This role is your chance to launch your career in M&A in an incredible, highly regarded, global PLC! You'll be identifying and evaluating strategic acquisition opportunities as well as be immersed in market research, financial analysis, and deal execution. You will also be contributing to the business's growth and success and be mentored by exceptional senior M&A Leaders.

What You'll Do:

  • Market Intelligence: Dive deep into potential market niches, conducting thorough research to identify attractive investment areas.
  • Target Identification: Support the evaluation of prospective acquisition targets, ensuring they align with Halma’s strategic criteria.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain and update the Safety sector target pipeline database.
  • Deal Support: Assist with active deal processes, including financial modeling, due diligence, and preparation of internal approval materials.
  • Strategic Contribution: Provide valuable input to sector M&A strategy and participate in ad-hoc projects and deep dives.

What You'll Bring:

  • Passion for M&A: 1-2 years of experience or a strong demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in M&A.
  • Analytical Prowess: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to assess market opportunities and develop business cases.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience with DCF valuation models and a solid understanding of financial principles.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Industry Interest: Background or knowledge in industrial or manufacturing spaces (preferred).
  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree.
