We're partnering with a global Tech Services business in their search for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to support its Internal Technology function and selected Services divisions. This is a high-visibility role sitting within a growing finance partnering team, combining strong analytical delivery with meaningful stakeholder exposure.
You will work closely with senior finance leadership and operational managers to strengthen reporting, enhance forecasting discipline, and improve visibility across cost bases and performance drivers. The role offers clear progression into a more senior partnering position over time.
Key Responsibilities- Support senior finance leadership in partnering Technology and Services stakeholders.
- Deliver high-quality monthly reporting, variance analysis, and performance commentary.
- Build and maintain financial models covering cost drivers, service performance, and forecasting assumptions.
- Provide visibility into IT cost structures, vendor spend, and contractual commitments.
- Support development of cost allocation and cost-to-serve methodologies.
- Track and analyse Services KPIs including utilisation, backlog, margins, and project profitability.
- Translate operational data into forward-looking financial insights.
- Support pricing analysis, commercial modelling, and contract/SOW financial reviews.
- Contribute to budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning cycles.
- Identify financial risks, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Improve reporting efficiency through automation and enhanced analytics.
- Develop dashboards and structured reporting outputs to enhance decision-making.
- Support investment cases and transformation initiatives across IT and Services.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and operational teams to ensure alignment and governance.
- Present financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- 5-7 years' experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or finance business partnering roles.
- Experience supporting technology, professional services, or operational delivery functions.
- Strong understanding of services metrics including utilisation, margins, backlog, and pipeline visibility.
- Experience analysing cost bases within IT or shared services environments.
- Advanced financial modelling and Excel capability.
- Experience working with large data sets and building insightful reporting outputs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence operational stakeholders.
- Solid grounding in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and governance processes.
- Experience contributing to process improvement or finance transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to cost allocation frameworks or multi-year planning models.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or similar analytics tools.
- Experience contributing to cost-to-serve or service profitability modelling desirable.
