A highly successful group is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to provide short-term senior finance leadership within one of its principal operating divisions. The division operates at significant scale within its market, with growing revenues in excess of £500m and a substantial committed forward pipeline. The business operates through a decentralised, multi-region structure with full P&L accountability at divisional level.
The Assignment
A focused, time‑critical engagement covering a defined transition period. The immediate priority is year‑end audit support, with broader responsibility for maintaining financial discipline and continuity across the division's leadership team and regional operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA or ACCA) with relevant PQE
- Proven track record as a Divisional or Business Unit FD at a comparable scale (£500m+) and complexity
- Genuine experience of decentralised operating models — you will need to hit the ground running
- Technically sharp — audit readiness, revenue recognition, long‑term contracts and complex judgement areas are central to this assignment
- Commercially credible — able to engage confidently with senior divisional and Group leadership from day one
- Hands‑on and visible — this role requires regular physical presence across a multi‑site, nationally dispersed operation
- Available at short notice to start in April 2026
