London (Hybrid)
We are working exclusively with a global technology business to hire an experienced corporate planning leader into a senior, newly defined FP&A role.
The Context
The finance leadership team is establishing a dedicated corporate planning function, with a remit that stretches from the annual operating plan through to long-range strategic modelling. You will own the end-to-end planning process, set the assumptions, design the model, and lead the conversation with CFO and executive leadership. The output has to be decision-grade. The thinking has to be original. This is a role with genuine scope. The person who gets it will define what good looks like.
What You Will Do
- Own the full corporate planning lifecycle - annual operating plan, mid-year reforecast, and 3-5 year long range model
- Translate enterprise strategy into a coherent, consolidated financial plan
- Design and maintain the corporate financial model, ensuring scalability, consistency of assumptions, and clean consolidation
- Lead planning rollout across the organisation with clear guidance, structured templates, and senior facilitation
- Act as the primary FP&A interface to the CFO and executive team throughout the planning cycle
- Establish planning governance, reduce cycle time, and continuously raise the strategic value of the process
What We Are Looking For
- 7-10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including meaningful time at Director level or equivalent
- Proven ownership of enterprise-wide planning in a complex, multi-segment organisation
- Demonstrable experience partnering with CFOs and executive teams on strategy and investment decisions
- Strong corporate financial modelling and consolidation capability
- Executive credibility and gravitas - comfortable constructively challenging at the most senior level
- A strategic thinker who connects financial outcomes to business decisions, not just numbers to a template
- Technology sector experience is a strong advantage
- Above all, we want someone who brings independent judgment and genuine leadership. This role requires original thinking, not coordination.
