The Tax Team collaborates with stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure the financial health of StockX through accurate and timely tax filings, advising on business decisions, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and international laws and regulations. In this critical role, you will join a group of strategic, detail-oriented thinkers that thrive in StockX’s fast-paced, high-growth environment while working cross-functionally with our accounting, finance, legal, operations, marketing and product and engineering teams.
What you will do:
- Own and manage audit ready VAT compliance for the EMEA region, including registrations, filings, payments, indirect tax account reconciliation, and ongoing obligations.
- Provide critical support during VAT audits in EMEA, including data analysis, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Tax Technology and Engineering teams to identify gaps and resolve them, e.g. data accuracy, process enhancements, system implementations, etc.
- Conduct independent VAT and indirect tax research and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
- Provide support to audit of financial statements.
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve VAT-related documentation to ensure it meets the company’s high internal standards as well as applicable industry and regulatory expectations.
- Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve VAT compliance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, including automation of data analysis, research, and audit support processes.
About You:
- 4+ years of experience in international indirect taxes, with a strong focus on EMEA VAT.
- Strong understanding of VAT compliance, audit processes, and regulatory requirements across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to perform tax research independently or with minimal guidance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical VAT concepts for non-tax and technical stakeholders.
- High level of curiosity and an ownership-driven, proactive mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving e-commerce environment.

- Experience working with tax technology platforms, ERP systems, or engineering teams.
- Background in e-commerce, marketplace, or digital business models.
- Exposure to VAT automation, systems implementations, or process optimization.
