The SEND Assessments and Review Service Area have an exciting opportunity available for a Team Manager to join the team to lead on EHC Needs Assessments and SEND Support.
We are looking for an experienced leader who can support the development of an inspiring team, ensure the Council meets its statutory duties around SEND Assessments and further develop, lead and promote SEN Support within the Borough and support the council to develop its approach to the new Inclusive Education Framework.
Candidates should be passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs within the borough, innovative and highly motivated to support and effect change and development of the service.
Candidates should have up to date knowledge and experience of implementing SEND procedures and legislation, particularly relating to SEND Assessments and also SEND Support as well as having a strong track record of successful leadership and management.
The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the smooth operation of the service area’s internal systems, records and legal timescales, build and maintain excellent communication with parents and stakeholders and support the Caseworkers within the service area to fulfil their statutory duties.
