About the role
The service is responsible for supporting adults with learning disabilities to access activities that are engaging and developmental within a day service setting. In the role of support worker, you will be expected to support adults with learning disabilities to take part in a wide range of activities based within the building and in the community. These activities include:
- Cooking
- Arts & crafts
- Sports & games
- Music
- Computer skills
- Newsletters
- Swimming & gym
- Plus much more!
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a caring, positive and person-centred approach to supporting others.
- Has experience in supporting people in social care settings.
- Has good communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Is reliable, flexible and able to use their initiative.
- Can maintain accurate records and follow support plans.
- Understands supporting adults with learning disabilities.
- Ideally has Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
