Due to the investment in our social work teams, we have several adult social work vacancies with both part-time and full-time opportunities available. These are across a range of teams in adult services, including Learning Disability, Assessment and Support Planning Team and Mental Health services. We welcome applications from both experienced staff and newly qualified social workers or students who are due to complete their qualification. Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is committed to promoting independence, choice and control and promoting Self Directed Support where people are eligible for social care services.
As a Social Worker in Adults Services, we will provide a nurturing environment where your practice will flourish. You will work within a small, friendly team, have a manageable caseload, and be provided with strong learning resources. You will also receive extra personal support from an advanced practitioner, regular supervision, bespoke learning and development and excellent post-qualifying opportunities.
Responsibilities / Requirements
To be considered for interview, you will:
- Have a relevant social work qualification
- Be registered with Social Work England
- Have an enabling, person-centred approach which promotes independence
- Have knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance and practices
- Have the ability to travel independently across the borough

- £3,585.70 per annum AMHP allowance – where relevant pro rata
