As a Senior Residential Care Officer, you will
- Lead and support shifts within our children's homes.
- Act as a positive role model for children, young people and colleagues.
- Support the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments.
- Build meaningful relationships with children and young people, helping them to feel safe, valued and heard.
- Work in partnership with families, social workers, education, health and other professionals.
- Mentor and develop less experienced staff members.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our residential services.

This post operates on a 7-day rota system, including

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and child-focused Senior Residential Care Officer to join our ambitious and dedicated residential care team.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex needs, helping them to thrive in safe, nurturing and aspirational homes.
- Hold a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England).
- Have experience of working with children, young people and families who present with complex needs and behaviours that challenge services.
- Understand trauma‑informed, relationship‑based practice.
- Have experience of care planning, risk assessment and safeguarding.
- Can confidently lead shifts and manage challenging situations.
- Are reflective, resilient and solution focused.
- Have excellent communication and partnership‑working skills.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
