We’re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our dedicated and friendly team, playing a key role in delivering a varied and ambitious programme of civil engineering and highways projects. From early feasibility to detailed design and construction, you’ll help create safer, more accessible and more sustainable places across the Borough.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the delivery of complex civil engineering and highways schemes.
- Prepare high‑quality technical designs, feasibility assessments and reports.
- Manage projects to ensure they’re delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Champion environmentally responsible and sustainable design approaches.
- Shape a built environment that supports residents, businesses, and visitors – now and for generations to come.
About You
- Demonstrable experience in delivering technical civil engineering designs.
- A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Strong IT and digital design skills, including proficient use of AutoCAD.
- Excellent project management capability, with a track record of driving schemes to completion.

- 27 days annual leave per year rising to 32 with 5 years service (plus bank holidays).
