We have a fantastic opportunity for Project and Partnership Officers to join our Public Health Team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

We are seeking to recruit two highly motivated and enthusiastic Project and Partnership Officers who are keen to further develop their Public Health skills, knowledge, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • One role will focus on supporting the planning and delivery of key public health programmatic areas, including Children and Young People and Sexual Health.
  • The other role will support the Health Protection and Healthcare portfolio, which includes but is not limited to support for seasonal health, prevention and control of communicable diseases, vaccinations.
  • There will also be an expectation that the post holders will develop their skills and experience across the whole of the public health agenda, including but not limited to children and young people, adults, and healthy places.
  • As a Project & Partnership Officer, you will gain valuable work experience supporting our residents to live and work in safe, healthy environments. You will work alongside experienced colleagues in the Public Health Team based in the centre of Stockton-on-Tees, supporting the development and implementation of evidence-based programmes, strategic planning, commissioning and evaluation of health and wellbeing interventions and programmes in line with local and national public health priorities, the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and the Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
  • We are seeking someone who has a passion for improving the health of the population of Stockton-on-Tees and will be committed to contributing to addressing health inequalities through partnership working and collaboration with a range of organisations from the NHS to the Voluntary and Community Sector.
  • This post is an ideal development opportunity for someone who has previous public health related experience and is keen to develop further and has a willingness to learn.

  • 27 days annual leave per year rising to 32 with 5 years service (plus bank holidays). Ability to purchase additional leave is also available.
