Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for two Finance Assistants to join the Xentrall Shared Services Transactional Finance team at Stockton‑on‑Tees Borough Council. Xentrall Shared Services is a highly successful partnership between Stockton‑on‑Tees and Darlington Borough Councils.
What will you be doing? You will be joining the Xentrall Finance team, assisting the Finance Team Leaders and Finance Officers in the provision of an efficient and effective finance service. The teams provide support to all services within the Councils, liaising with a range of clients including Head Teachers, Line Managers, Officers and partners of the Council. Duties will include a wide range of clerical and administrative functions associated with the provision of the services. These include creditor payments, banking and income, sundry debtors billing and collection.
Who are we looking for? We are a busy but friendly team, looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking team member who has excellent organisational and IT skills. You must have experience of working in a customer service administration/accountancy environment and have experience of finance systems. You must be able to demonstrate you have the skills needed to collaborate well with customers and build excellent working relationships. Experience of working as a team and achieving deadlines are also key to the role. A good standard of education will be a distinct advantage; however, it is more important that you have a willingness to learn and develop in the role, and a readiness to work in an environment that thrives on helping others.
