Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Family Help Navigator to join our team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. The Family Help Navigator plays a key frontline role within the Integrated Front Door, acting as the first point of contact for professionals, children and families seeking advice, guidance and support.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely, robust information sharing and contribute to informed, multi‑agency decision‑making that promotes children’s safety and wellbeing.
- Help families access the most appropriate support by applying thresholds, offering professional challenge where needed, and using a strengths‑based systemic approach to understand each family's circumstances.
- Support practitioners across services, enhance the quality of Family Help assessments, and promote early intervention by linking families to trusted and familiar support networks.
- Coordinate responses, reduce unnecessary escalation, and champion Family Help as a shared responsibility across the system.
- Promote positive workforce culture, apply relevant legislation and guidance, and contribute to ongoing service improvement within Children’s Services.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in working to drive change for children and young people.
- Strong commitment to systemic practice and child‑centric outcomes.
- Excellent communication and information‑sharing skills.
Benefits
- A competitive salary of up to ÂŁ33,699.
- 27 days annual leave per year rising to 32 days with 5 years of service (plus bank holidays). Ability to purchase additional leave is also available.
