We have a fantastic opportunity for aDigital and Website Development Managerto join our team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
The Digital and Website Development Manager will lead the strategic implementation and performance management of the Council’s websites and digital solutions. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accessibility compliance (WCAG), managing staff, and driving digital transformation projects, including AI initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the design and delivery of high-quality digital services and web content.
- Collaborate across Council services to develop new models of service delivery.
- Develop customer experience (CX) journeys to inform service design.
- Develop and maintain CMS information architecture (IA),
- Manage the GOSS digital platform and ensure seamless integration of self-serve solutions.
- Champion digital skills development and contribute to organisational training programmes.
We are looking for someone with:
- Substantial experience in digital transformation, service design, and website development.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- A deep understanding of WCAG standards, CMS architecture, and customer-focused design.
- The ability to inspire cultural change and deliver measurable service improvements.
