In this rewarding role, you will provide direct support to residents experiencing financial crisis, helping them access emergency assistance, maximise their income, and build long-term financial resilience.

What you will do

  • Provide welfare and financial advice, helping people maximise their income through benefits, discounts, grants, and other entitlements.
  • Meet with vulnerable residents and provide support in community settings.
  • Work with partner organisations to ensure residents get the right financial support.
  • Help prevent repeat crises by providing practical support that improves residents' long-term financial resilience, not just their immediate circumstances.
  • Monitor and analyse data to understand demand, track outcomes, and support reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to service improvement, ensuring the fund is accessible, fair, and effective., Please note that we're unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role, so candidates will need to have an existing right to work in the UK.

We are looking for a motivated and organised Crisis Resilience Fund Support Officer to join a small, new specialist team.

You will have

  • Experience of providing customer-focused advice, support, or welfare services.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of benefits, welfare support, debt advice, or financial inclusion initiatives is desirable.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with residents, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Confidence in handling complex enquiries and sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
