Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council are seeking to recruit a number of Catering Assistants to join our Catering Services team.

Working for our Catering service is uniquely rewarding, as we offer vital services to the local communities of Stockton-on-Tees. We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and hardworking individuals to join us in providing high quality, delicious and healthy meals to the schools in our borough.

The Catering Assistant roles we currently have on offer are:

Wolviston Primary School

5 hours per week, Term Time Only (+ 2 days)

Monday – Friday 12:15 – 13:15

Pro rata actual salary – £2,761.64

Prior\’s Mill CE Primary School

7.5 hours per week, Term Time Only (+ 2 days)

Monday – Friday 12.00 – 1.30

Pro rata actual salary – £4,142.46

Layfield Primary School

5 hours per week, Term Time Only (+ 2 days)

Monday – Friday 12.00 – 1.00

Pro rata actual salary – £2,761.64

Kirklevington Primary School

10 hours per week, Term Time Only (+ 2 days)

Monday – Friday 11.30 – 1.30

Pro rata actual salary – £5,523.27

What will you be doing?

As a Catering Assistant in a school, you will be preparing and serving food to students / teachers and making sure kitchen and dining areas are clean and tidy.

What do you need?

Previous experience would be advantageous but is not required – just a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, good standards of hygiene, the ability to be organised and to be able to work in a hot kitchen environment.
