We are delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Procurement Manager (Tenders) to join our forward thinking, motivated and well-respected Procurement Team. You will be responsible for undertaking and overseeing procurement activity across the Council and managing a team of six Procurement Officers. You will need to be fully conversant with Public Procurement legislation and able to provide training and support to the team and across the wider Council in relation to this.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council spends around £215 million per year buying a diverse range of goods, works and services to deliver the ambitious plans we have for our borough and its residents. We have circa 500 live contracts on our contract register and you will need to work closely with officers across the council to ensure the team is on track with the delivery of this work programme and that the register is always up to date.
You will also need to work closely with the Assistant Procurement Manager (Contract Management) to ensure that contract management plans are in place which will assist in effective running of the contracts arranged by your team.
