As an Apprentice ICT Platform Technician, you will provide support to all employees in both Stockton-on-Tees and Darlington Borough Councils, helping them to be effective when using technology in their own jobs and rectifying issues to maintain the organisations productivity and security. Based in Darlington Town Hall, you will work as part of a team to deliver these services.
Assisting in the provision of effective, efficient and customer-focused ICT services for all Xentrall Shared Services ICT customers, you’ll be working in our welcoming and focused ICT Platform Team who are passionate about ensuring we build efficiency and security into all our work.
You will be maintaining and managing networks across Stockton and Darlington, installing and configuring network and wireless equipment, supporting our state of the art datacentres, and helping to support the latest cloud based technology and security.
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for someone who has the following qualifications / experience:
- Minimum qualifications of English and Maths at Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grade 4/C or above / Functional Skills Level 2)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to the full duration of the apprenticeship — showing reliability, motivation, and readiness to balance work and study responsibilities
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills – apprenticeships are designed for those ready to grow through hands-on experience and training.Please outline in your personal statement how you meet this criteria.

Age 21 and over = £12.21 per hour
