Adoption Tees Valley has an amazing opportunity aimed at those who want to gain work experience whilst studying towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification, which you will achieve by formal off-the-job training. We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference, to serve the people of our borough, and who is committed to their own development.
As an Apprentice Business Support Officer working in Adoption Tees Valley, you will provide administration support in our adoption centre. Your duties will be varied but could include:
- Support to the recruitment of adopters
- Updating and maintaining records
- Answering queries (by telephone or email)
- Computer work
- Booking travel and accommodation
- Diary management
- Supporting events held at ATV such as stay and play group
As this is an apprenticeship opportunity, you will be provided with all the training and support you need to be a success. You will gain the technical knowledge and practical experience needed for your future career.
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working for our community and has the following qualifications / experience:
- Minimum qualifications of English and Maths at Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grade 4/C or above / Functional Skills Level 2)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to the full duration of the apprenticeship — showing reliability, motivation, and readiness to balance work and study responsibilities.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills - apprenticeships are designed for those ready to grow through hands-on experience and training.

- National Minimum Wage for Age:
- Age 21 and over = £12.21 per hour
