We have a fantastic opportunity for a Night Care Worker to join our friendly, supportive team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

We are recruiting for a new home opening this year, focused on providing a therapeutic-based model of care for children and young people who have experienced trauma and may have attachment issues, working with health partners. As a Night Care Worker, you will engage effectively with young people and their families to meet care needs at night, supporting in the family home, residential home, or community venues.

We will provide structured training and support to help you gain your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, with options for Level 4 or 5 in Leadership and Management.

Requirements include:

  • A recognised Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it within 18 months
  • A positive attitude and experience working with children and young people
  • Ability to work over a 7-day shift rota including weekends
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (including overseas police clearance if applicable)
  • A full UK driving licence

We offer a competitive salary of up to £27,992, enhancements, sleepover payments, and opportunities for additional hours.
