We are looking for two skilled and motivated Social Workers to join our Permanence Team in a non-case holding capacity, focusing on progressing discharge of care orders and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) conversions. This role is central to achieving timely permanence for children and young people, ensuring stability and security within their family networks.
Responsibilities
- Drive the progression of discharge of orders and SGO conversions in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
- Work collaboratively with case-holding social workers, legal teams, and partner agencies to remove barriers and expedite permanence planning.
- Provide expert advice, guidance, and practical support to families and carers throughout the process.
- Contribute to assessments, court documentation, and decision-making panels as required.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance and quality outcomes.
