Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Cook to join our team here at Hartburn Lodge! At Hartburn Lodge we provide Short Breaks for young people with complex needs, providing care and attention in an environment that promotes self-worth, determination, advocacy and empowerment.

The Cook plays a vital role in ensuring that young people at Hartburn Lodge receive healthy, balanced, and culturally appropriate meals during their stay. This position not only requires culinary skills but a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene also. To support this you will need to have experience of food preparation and knowledge of food nutrition and food allergens and their safe food preparation. An understanding of cultural needs in regards to food is also required.

The job involves general cleaning in a number of areas within the home. The role will require updating of COSHH, taking water temperatures, monitoring the safety of appliances and ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to. You need to be prepared to undertake any required training and there are opportunities for further training and development to support your role. An understanding of the needs of young people with disabilities would be an advantage as you will interact with the children during your work. The post is subject to a DBS check.
