Pentland Primary School is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEMH Additional Resource Provision) to start as soon as possible. This is a fixed-term position until 31st August 2026, working 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days. The role is graded H, spinal point 14 to 17 (£22,338 to £23,458).
One Excellence Multi Academy Trust, founded in July 2017, comprises four schools and is committed to shared values, community identity, inclusion, and aspiration for all. The Trust supports its staff through a structured health and well-being programme, which includes physiotherapy, nurse support services, counselling, mindfulness sessions, and professional development opportunities.
The successful candidate will be driven to make a difference in the education and lives of pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. Responsibilities include:
- Providing support to pupils in the Additional Resource Provision.
- Supporting pupils across the school while adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Supervising groups and occasionally whole classes.
- Delivering high standards of nurturing and education through quality interactions and strong relationships.
- Being proactive, flexible, and a reliable team player.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure all at Pentland flourish.
- Helping children make progress by working closely with a supportive team and external professionals.
Regular feedback regarding children’s progress and general wellbeing will be required. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and the successful applicant will undergo enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
