As a Senior HR Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, professional HR service across the organisation. You will act as a trusted partner to managers, leading on a range of employee relations matters, supporting organisational change and providing clear, consistent HR advice in line with policy, legislation and best practice. You will co-ordinate recruitment and compliance processes, including acting as a DBS Counter signatory to ensure DBS, Right to Work and safeguarding checks are completed accurately. You will also support HR data, reporting, policy development and project work, while providing day-to-day guidance to HR Advisors and Administrators. Acting as a Designated Safeguarding Officer on a rota basis, you will manage safeguarding concerns appropriately and contribute to the organisation’s wider safeguarding culture through training, awareness and professional advice. This is a varied and rewarding role for an HR professional who is confident working independently, enjoys complex casework, and is committed to delivering a high standard of HR support.
You will be an experienced HR professional with a solid generalist background and proven experience managing complex employee relations cases. CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) is essential, and you will bring up-to-date knowledge of employment law, equality and diversity legislation, and HR best practice. You will be confident analysing HR information, drafting high-quality HR documentation, and supporting managers to make informed decisions. Your communication skills will be excellent, with the ability to influence, advise and support colleagues at all levels. Experience in safeguarding, DBS and Right to Work processes is important, and you will be comfortable acting as a Designated Safeguarding Officer. You will be resilient, adaptable and able to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive or challenging matters. A commitment to continuous professional development, strong organisational skills and a customer-focused approach are essential to thrive in this role. You must hold a full, valid driving licence and have access to a car, and the post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
