Duty Manager – Billingham Forum

Billingham Forum - 37 hours per week, £16.55 per hour (£31,929.64 per annum).

We are seeking an ambitious and talented professional to join our team with excellent leadership, communication and management skills. We are looking for a Duty Manager with high standards and a commitment to service excellence who wishes to develop their career by taking responsibility for overseeing the full operational management in the day-to-day running of Billingham Forum.

BILLINGHAM FORUM

Billingham Forum is one of the Northeast’s most iconic leisure destinations. This wet and dry community facility includes three swimming pools, the North East’s leading Ice Arena, extensive modern health and fitness provision including sauna and steam room facilities, several activity and meeting rooms, and Go Climb, an interactive wall climbing experience.

THE ROLE

You will deliver excellent customer service through effective supervision and leadership of all operational team members. You will ensure the smooth running of the centre’s day-to-day activities and programme, acting as the primary point for resolving customer and staff issues, and you will be responsible for the security, cleanliness, health and safety of the building and everyone in it. You will act as the building keyholder for opening/closing the centre and take responsibility for ensuring the Forum remains a safe, smart, fully functioning community space during opening hours.

Hours will cover the full operating hours Monday to Sunday, working on a three-week shift pattern. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

ABOUT YOU

This varied and challenging role requires pace, energy, resilience and high standards. You will need to be customer-focused, an effective leader and able to deal with complex customer and facilities issues. Previous supervision of staff and a minimum of twelve months experience in a supervisory role is essential.

You must have or be willing to attain on appointment:

  • a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
  • a National Pool Plant Operators certificate
  • a First Aid at Work qualification
  • RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Trainer Assessor qualification
  • Management/supervisory qualification
