Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Range: Grade 4, SCP 10-12 (£27,694.00 – £28,598.00 FTE, £23,145.00 – £23,901.00 pro rata). Salary amounts quoted are from 1 September to 31 August; if you commence employment partway through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.

Working Type: Part-time (35 hours, 39 working weeks, 45.942 paid weeks).

Base: The Grangefield Academy, Oxbridge Avenue, Stockton on Tees, TS18 4LE.

Regulated Activity: The post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, supporting students within the English department.

This role will involve working closely with teachers to support learning in lessons, helping students to develop their literacy skills, confidence and engagement with English. You will provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, helping to remove barriers to learning and ensuring all students can achieve their full potential.

We are looking for someone passionate about education, with strong communication skills and a commitment to making a positive difference to young people’s lives. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, contributing to high-quality teaching and learning across the department.
