TEACHING ASSISTANTS (LEVEL 2)

13 Hours per week over 2 days (Monday and Tuesday) term time only + 2 PL Days.

NJC Grade F Pt 7 – 8 £7,645 – £7,767 actual salary (pay award pending)

Horizons Specialist Academy Trust consists of eight Academies and one Sixth Form across the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire areas serving a population of in excess of 1000 with a broad range of learning difficulties.

Abbey Hill Academy is “where amazing children do amazing things!” We specialise in meeting the needs of students who have a full range of learning difficulties and disabilities, as well as other physical and special needs including autism.

We are seeking to appoint a part time Teaching Assistant with previous experience of working within SEN. Ideally, the successful candidate will be an outstanding, creative and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who has the flexibility to work with young people who have a variety of special educational needs. The role involves supporting students in the classroom giving attention to their physical as well as educational requirements. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will partake in training to further develop their skills to support the wide range of needs of our students.
