North Shore Academy is seeking an inspiring, dynamic, and forward-thinking Second in Department for Humanities & MFL. This is an exceptional opportunity for an outstanding practitioner to step into a pivotal leadership role, working collaboratively with the Head of Department to drive innovative curriculum provision and ensure outstanding outcomes for our students.

As a vital leader within the department, you will play a key role in shaping both staff and student success. Your duties will include:
- Visionary Leadership: Co-lead the subject area to maintain exceptional standards of attainment, behaviour, and safety. Collaborate with the Head of Department to develop and implement a long-term vision, including integrating numeracy across the curriculum.
- Curriculum & Innovation: Plan engaging schemes of learning across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Drive curriculum innovation by developing new approaches to learning through ICT and modern resources.
- Student Progress: Track, monitor, and evaluate student performance. Implement robust intervention strategies to continually improve academic results and support students' personal growth.
- Teaching Excellence: Demonstrate outstanding classroom practice and support colleagues within the department to consistently deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
