Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Range: SCP 7 – SCP 8 (£26,403.00 - £26,824.00 FTE). Pro Rata £22,066.00 - £22,418.00. Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.

Working Type: Full Time – 35 hours, 39 weeks

Base: North Shore Academy, Talbot Street, Stockton‑On‑Tees, TS20 2AY

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

North Shore Academy is seeking to appoint a Language Support Assistant to complement the work of teachers by delivering agreed Modern Foreign Languages learning activities under supervision. The role involves supporting pupils, including those needing help to overcome barriers to learning, through planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups or whole classes. You will also monitor, assess, record and report on pupil achievement, progress and development. We welcome applications from candidates who wish to play a key role in enhancing student engagement.
