Pentland Primary School is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEMH Additional Resource Provision) to start as soon as possible. This is a fixed-term position until 31st August 2026, with 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days. The salary is Grade H, spinal point 14 to 17 (£22,338 to £23,458).
One Excellence Multi Academy Trust is made up of four schools and was founded in July 2017. The Trust values community identity, inclusion, and aspiration for all. We support our staff through a structured health and well-being programme, which includes physiotherapy, nurse support service, counselling, mindfulness sessions, and professional development opportunities.
We are looking for someone who is driven to make a difference in the education and lives of pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. You should have a passion for supporting these pupils so they can flourish alongside their peers. The successful candidate must have relevant qualifications and/or recent training to support a range of SEMH needs.
Responsibilities:- Providing support to pupils in the Additional Resource Provision.
- Supporting pupils across the school while adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Supervising groups and occasionally whole classes for a session.
- Delivering high standards of nurturing and education through quality interactions and developing strong relationships with all children.
- Being proactive, flexible, and a reliable team player, offering support to colleagues when required.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure that all at Pentland flourish.
- Helping children make progress by working closely with a supportive and experienced team and external professionals.
- Regularly providing feedback to the class teacher, SLT, and colleagues regarding children’s progress and general wellbeing.
