Start date: 1st September 2026. Fixed term until 31st August 2027. 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days. Grade H, spinal point 14 to 17 (£22,417 to £23,542).

Pentland Primary School offers an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant who has the experience, skills and motivation to make a difference to the education of children and young people.
QualificationsYou must have the relevant, up‑to‑date qualifications and/or recent training that equips you to support a range of SEMH needs.
Responsibilities- Provide support to pupils in the Additional Resource Provision as the first point of contact.
- Support pupils across the school, ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Supervise groups and, when required, whole classes for a session.
- Deliver a high standard of nurturing and education through quality interactions and the development of strong, authentic relationships with all children, including one‑to‑one support where needed.
- Be proactive, flexible and a reliable team player, offering support to colleagues when required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure that every child at Pentland flourishes and the community’s needs are central to our work.
- Help children make progress by working closely with an experienced team and external professionals, providing regular feedback to the class teacher, SLT and colleagues on children’s progress and general wellbeing.
