St Mark’s Church of England Primary School is offering an apprenticeship as an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant. The apprenticeship will last 18 months, starting 1 September 2026, for 32.5 hours per week during term time plus 5 days, at £8.00 per hour for the first 12 months, increasing to minimum wage thereafter. The successful candidate will be based mainly in our two‑year‑old EYFS provision that opened September 2025, and may also work in the main nursery and reception classes as required. The role includes full training to become a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, workplace support from the training provider (Stockton Riverside College), the Trust Early Years Lead, and the Early Years team, with an expectation to attend college one day a week.
