Horizons Specialist Academy Trust consists of eight academies and one sixth form across the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire area serving a population in excess of 1000 students with a broad range of learning difficulties.
The Trust wishes to appoint an experienced Admin Assistant to join our busy team. The post will be split between Abbey Hill Academy (4 days) and Westlands Academy in Thornaby. Main duties will include greeting visitors, answering the telephone and other general administrative tasks.
The successful candidate will have a friendly personality and possess excellent communication and keyboard/IT skills as well as the ability to show initiative in dealing with enquiries and providing support within the administration team. Applicants will have a minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant discipline or appropriate experience. Experience of working in a school setting and knowledge of working with SIMS would be an advantage although not essential.
There is an expectation that all our staff will work across the Trust as necessary and the post holder may be asked to work at any of the local offices across the Trust.
