We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team at Stocks Hall Burscough on a bank / pool basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards. This role is crucial in providing a safe and pleasant environment for residents and staff alike. You will be covering staff sickness and holidays. It is a very flexible role in which you give your availability and we provide shifts around your schedule.

Duties

  • Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces.
  • Ensure that all areas are tidy and well-organised, including communal spaces and private rooms.
  • Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when restocking is necessary.
  • Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for all individuals.

Experience

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is an advantage but not essential.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
