Stockport Truck Centre continues to grow, and we’re now seeking an experienced Trailer Technician to join our workshop team across our Dukinfield and Bredbury sites. You'll be working on a wide range of commercial trailers, handling everything from servicing and repairs to fault diagnostics. Every day brings new challenges, making this an engaging & varied position.

Duties

  • Carrying out trailer servicing, repairs, and inspections to DVSA requirements.
  • Identifying and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Working efficiently within workshop safety & performance standards.
  • Repairing or replacing parts such as braking, lighting, and suspension components.
  • Recording work completed and maintaining workshop documentation.

Required Certification & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Trailer Technician, HGV Mechanic, or similar position.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical trailer systems.
  • Capable of working independently or alongside other technicians.
  • Welding or fabrication experience beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail with a practical, problem‑solving mindset.
