As a Senior Buyer, you'll take ownership of the daywear category, working closely with Design, Merchandising and suppliers to deliver trend-led, commercially successful ranges. You'll trade your department daily, react quickly to customer demand and play a key role in driving sales, margin and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and trade commercially successful product ranges.
- Work closely with Design and Merchandising to build balanced, profitable collections.
- Analyse sales and market trends to identify opportunities and manage risk.
- Source and develop products with suppliers while negotiating costs and improving margins.
- Manage the critical path to ensure products launch on time.
- Carry out competitor analysis and identify gaps within the range.
- Build strong supplier relationships and travel where required.
- Support and mentor junior members of the Buying team.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and drive business growth.
About You
- Previous experience as a Womenswear Buyer within fashion retail with experience across day dresses & tops.
- Strong commercial awareness with a trend-led approach.
- Confident trading a department and making commercial decisions.
- Analytical, with strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret sales data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within an e-commerce or test-and-repeat retail model is advantageous.
