The Role
This is a genuinely hands‑on job, producing tooling used right across UK packaging and manufacturing.
We're looking for a General Production Operative to work across departments, learning customer specifications and building practical skills as you go. It's an ideal role for someone self‑motivated and hands‑on, who takes pride in getting things right first time.
Full training is provided, and there's real scope to progress.
This is a day shift role but includes the oppourtunity to progress onto a shift position, which brings a further increase in hourly pay.
Your Day‑to‑day Will Include
Working across different departments to learn customer specifications and production processes
- Carrying out practical, hands‑on tasks using hand tools and equipment
- Flagging any delays or issues promptly to the Production Manager
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in your work area
- Helping the team stay on track with deadlines during busy periods
What We're Looking For
A strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working at pace in a manufacturing environment, to tight deadlines
- Practical skills and confidence using hand tools
- Computer literate
- High levels of integrity, autonomy and self‑motivation
- Able to multi‑task and prioritise a varied workload
- A proactive attitude and willingness to work flexibly across departments
Salary & Benefits
£12.88 to £13.21 per hour (£25,116 to £25,759.50 per year)
