PHARMACY DISPENSER/TECHNICIAN
The Pharmacy Shop is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, providing healthcare and pharmaceutical services for the Trust’s patients, staff, and the local community.
The post holder will be employed by The Pharmacy Shop, not the NHS.
The salary is competitive and negotiable (equivalent to NHS bands 3 or 4), depending on experience and qualifications.
We seek a dependable, enthusiastic, and motivated pharmacy dispenser to deliver high-quality, patient-focused service. You will be supported in your personal development through an annual personal development plan.
You must possess excellent accuracy and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for dispensing hospital prescriptions. Flexibility and adaptability are required to provide cover at the pharmacy counter.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential. Hospital experience is not necessary; applications from community pharmacy are welcome, as training will be provided.
Ideally, we are looking for a full-time candidate (40 hours per week).

After training, the post holder will perform a range of pharmaceutical activities in the dispensary and work independently as part of the pharmacy team. Accuracy is critical at all times.
The post holder will undergo the Buttercups Training Programme to become a Pharmacy Technician after probation. Qualification or registration with the GPhC is required upon completion.
