We are looking for a dedicated Senior Independent Living Officer to join our team, delivering exceptional housing management and support services to residents across Stockport. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including working with sheltered housing, extra care schemes, 60+ age-restricted accommodations, supported housing, and care leaver accommodations scattered throughout the borough.

As a Senior Independent Living Officer, you will:

  • Support Independent Living Officers and Assistants, ensuring a responsive, proactive, and high-quality service for our customers.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance: Conduct workflow and system audits to maintain consistent service quality.
  • Collaborate with Partners: Work closely with internal teams and external partner agencies to develop and enhance the service.
  • Service Development: Assist the Independent Living Management Team in shaping and improving the overall service.
  • Flexible Service Delivery: Be adaptable to meet the changing needs of customers, providing support where and when required.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience in housing management, particularly within sheltered or supported housing environments.
  • Strong leadership skills to support and guide teams.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused services.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to build and maintain effective relationships with partners.
  • Organisational skills for conducting audits and ensuring service quality.
