Independent Living Officer
Permanent Part Time (18.5 hours per week)

We have a vacancy for an Independent Living Officer who will support the Occupational Therapist and lead medical assessments for rehousing and the adapted rehousing register.
Responsibilities
- Provide intensive personalised support to customers with broad and complex needs to help them move forward with their lives and sustain their tenancies.
- Assess risk and collaborate with in‑house teams and external statutory and voluntary agencies such as Social Care to benefit customers.
- Record interventions accurately and maintain waiting lists using robust IT skills and Microsoft Office applications.
- Lead medical assessments for rehousing and maintain the adapted rehousing register.
- Use a driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel between sites as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals in a supportive capacity; decision‑making around assessed housing needs.
- Passion, self‑motivation, persistence and determination to engage with and support customers with complex needs.
- Robust IT skills, including use of Microsoft packages and effective record‑keeping.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle required.
- Appointment subject to a satisfactory enhanced clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
