The key purpose of this role is to ensure that Stockport Homes Group have access to appropriate operational and financial reporting that meets business needs. You will work alongside colleagues to design, develop, deploy and manage all forms of operational and strategic reporting, initially from data held in line of business systems, including Civica CX.
As the BI Report Developer / Analyst you will be responsible for:
- Identifying the best product to deliver requirements and documents as per the Data team's governance model.
- Identifying location of data and determine accuracy, relevance and reliability, highlighting concerns to the business and data colleagues.
- Developing, maintaining and enhancing appropriate modelling, SQL scripts and transformations, using products such as but not limited to SSMS, Power BI and SSRS.
- Undertaking appropriate testing and validation of reported data against source.
- Collaborating with other team members to improve governance, develop reporting standards and more efficient processes.
A detailed understanding of SQL, indexes, views, functions and stored procedures is required. Proven experience as a Power BI Developer / Analyst is essential. Proficiency in modelling, writing SQL, Dax and Power Query (M) is necessary. You should have the ability to analyse, think logically and work to tight deadlines. Experience of SSRS reporting tools is important. Excellent communication, documentation and collaboration skills are required. Experience in use of Python would be beneficial. Excel experience with Pivot Tables and Lookups would be beneficial. Experience of the Civica CX database would be an advantage.
