Contract: Up to 12 months – Maternity Cover

About the role

We are looking for an Asbestos & Legionella Advisor to join our Compliance Team for up to 12 months, supporting the delivery of asbestos and legionella management and control. This is a varied and hands‑on role, where you will work closely with Compliance Managers, contractors and internal teams to ensure that all works are carried out safely, effectively and in line with regulatory requirements. You will be involved in overseeing works, reviewing surveys, carrying out audits and ensuring that any follow‑up actions are completed to maintain compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of asbestos removal and legionella management programmes
  • Carry out site visits and audits to ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards
  • Review and approve asbestos survey reports and legionella risk assessments
  • Manage remedial actions and ensure works are completed in a timely manner
  • Monitor contractor performance and address any issues
  • Liaise with customers to arrange access for essential compliance works
  • Produce performance and compliance reports
  • Act as a key point of contact for asbestos and legionella‑related queries

About you

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with a strong commitment to safety and compliance, who takes ownership, pays attention to detail and is committed to delivering high‑quality outcomes. You will have:

  • BOHS P402 and P405 (or working towards) for Asbestos
  • Experience of working with asbestos and legionella contractors
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A full UK driving licence
