Stockport Grammar School [Independent, HMC, co‑ed] is seeking a self‑employed part‑time Brass Teacher from September 2026. The role will involve teaching both Senior School (aged 11‑18) and Junior School (aged 7‑11) brass players, expanding student numbers and supporting the music department’s instrument loan scheme.
Responsibilities:
- Up to half a day of individual brass teaching in the short term, with potential to expand to more hours in the longer term.
- Brass taster sessions to build interest and uptake in the Junior School.
- Beginner brass sessions to build interest and uptake in the Senior School.
- Seven hours per week of brass taster sessions during the second half of the Spring Term on Wednesdays and Fridays, aligned with the 1st year academic Music lessons (year 7). This taster scheme operates only between February half‑term and Easter.
