Stockport Grammar School is seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and committed individual who has the capacity to coach and deliver lessons in hockey and some of our summer sports such as athletics, tennis and cricket. It is essential that those who apply for this role have experience of working with children at a secondary age level. Those individuals who can also demonstrate an ability, and/or have experience of delivering sporting provision across primary ages too will be at a distinct advantage.
SGS aspires to cement its position as a leading sporting school in the region and is looking to excel further whilst delivering a broad and balanced curriculum. The department is well resourced and supported. If you are passionate about sport, are an aspiring PE teacher (or are already qualified), have ambitions for a future in sport or have a good pedigree of sports coaching and/or playing experience, then this position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your career working alongside a talented and dedicated PE department in a school with excellent sporting facilities.
This is a casual role offered with a very competitive hourly rate that illustrates the value the school places on sport. You will be working in a high performing sports department that in turn requires the individual to go above and beyond. Working at weekends and evenings will form part of the role at various times throughout the school year.
