Team Leader / Manager Adoption Support Team (Adoption Counts)
Salary: £25,678 - £29,082 per annum. Hours: 18.5 hours, Part Time. Location: Etrop Court, Wythenshawe Manchester. Hybrid working policy.

Your Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our supportive and experienced management team.
The post is to supervise and manage the work of a team of adoption support social workers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee assessments of adoption support needs at different stages of the adoption journey.
- Support adopted families and ensure children’s views are represented and placed at the centre of any assessment.
- Support and guide staff in accessing additional support through in-house provision and the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF).
- Build positive working relationships with families and young people.
Qualifications
- Experienced adoption manager or social worker with knowledge of supporting students or mentoring colleagues.
- Good understanding of early years trauma impact, therapeutic parenting, and the needs of children who have suffered trauma.
- Ability to support and motivate a group of staff.
- Good communicator, passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children.
About Us
Adoption Counts is a Regional Adoption agency delivering services in Cheshire East, Manchester, Salford, Stockport and Trafford.
The agency was one of five national demonstrator projects and was the second agency to go “live” in July 2017, continuing to play a lead role in national developments.
