Team Leader Engineer (Highway Design & Construction)

Overview

We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in delivering highways projects within the public sector through detailed design and on-site construction. You will have a proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to meet challenging deadlines, designing and managing complex highways schemes for delivery to site.

You will bring hands-on experience in leading detailed design of highway schemes with competing priorities. Your ability to work with the supply chain will be key to ensuring timely, high‑quality outcomes. A solid understanding of asset management principles and how they inform long-term planning, investment decisions, and lifecycle management of infrastructure will be essential. Experience in active travel initiatives and a thoughtful approach to how infrastructure supports placemaking will be a distinct advantage.
