Warren Wood Primary School, Turnstone Road, Offerton, Stockport, Cheshire SK2 5XU, is seeking an LKS2 Teacher (Maternity Cover), fixed term required with effect from 1 September 2025.

Salary: Main pay scale (dependent on experience)

Working Pattern: Full time

Contract Type: Fixed term, approximately 12 months maternity cover

Our wonderful staff team are excited to be looking for a new team member and team player to join us at Warren Wood Primary School. The role in the first instance will involve a class teaching responsibility in our KS2 team. Our school motto is ‘Care, Courtesy and Consideration’ and we pride ourselves on delivering this to all of our pupils through our thoughts, actions and deeds. We require someone who upholds these values of our school and is committed to the school vision and ethos of ‘Preparing children for the world beyond their window’.

You will need to be able to demonstrate your role as a ‘facilitator of learning’, utilising good observational skills enabling you to learn the behavioural patterns of the children you work with, appreciating that we all learn in different ways and with the correct guidance and support, we can achieve our potential. You will need to be dedicated, understanding, highly motivated and have excellent communication skills to effectively engage pupils in their learning and to also share appropriate and purposeful feedback with staff to support learning for children within our KS1 team. A clear understanding of how to effectively teach phonics and early reading would be advantageous.
