Salary: Teaching Assistant Scale 3 (point 5‑6) £9,314.71‑£9,462.48; Midday Assistant Scale 1 (point 3) £1,576.34 (pro rata actual salary)

Hours: Teaching Assistant 15.75 hours per week; Midday Assistant 2.75 hours per week

Working Pattern: Part‑time, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, term time only

Contract Type: Permanent

Closing Date: 1st July 2026

Interview Date: 7th and 8th July 2026

Start Date: September 2026

Responsibilities

  • Support children with physical and learning disabilities in the Resource Room
  • Use technology such as iPads or computers to adapt work for children with special educational needs
  • Deliver interventions such as Speech & Language or Occupational Therapy (training will be provided)
  • Assist in 1:1 situations and teach small groups
  • Work well with other staff and agencies
  • Maintain a kind, friendly and positive attitude; remain emotionally resilient

Qualifications

  • Appropriate childcare qualifications, or willingness to undertake relevant training to obtain them
  • Experience in supporting children with disabilities is preferred
