The predicted salary is between 29000 - 38000 £ per year.

SO1 - SO3, career graded (£34,434 - £45,091) 37 hours per week (flexible or part time working can be considered for this role) Permanent Hybrid: Stopford House and homeworking (office-based for a minimum of 2 days per week).

Your Role: Stockport has been recognised nationally as a great place to live and work. As a Senior Officer with the Programme and Project Management Team, you’ll play an important part in our ambition to develop transport infrastructure that is green, inclusive, resilient, and safe and helps to reduce air pollution and lower our overall carbon emissions. Stockport already boasts some of the best connectivity in Greater Manchester, with regular train links into both Manchester and London, as well as a fast-growing network of walking, wheeling, and cycling routes and state-of-the-art transport interchange. Our ambitious investment programme aims to make it easier and greener for people to travel around Stockport, connecting people with access to good job opportunities and all the sport, culture and leisure facilities the borough has to offer.

Working alongside experienced professionals as part of multi-disciplinary project teams you will play a vital role in supporting the development and implementation of high-quality project office functions including project and programme controls and reporting, information management and assurance. You’ll support with the adoption of software packages such as MS Project and Power BI, as well as supporting team managers with procurement and contract management.

About You: We’re looking for an experienced project professional with strong numerical and analytical skills and excellent attention to detail. Previous experience of procurement and contract management will be an advantage, as will excellent communication skills and the ability to work to Council values.
