Pest Control Officer in Stockport

Overview

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to work for Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and are seeking to recruit an experienced Pest Control Officer to join the busy team within the Thriving Neighbourhoods Service. The successful applicant will be responsible for the investigation and treatment of a wide range of pest complaints and infestations across domestic, commercial, and public sector premises.

Responsibilities

• Inspect premises, identify pest infestations, and carry out treatment procedures.
• Provide education, advice, and support to residents and businesses.
• Record keeping and maintain accurate treatment logs.
• Support colleagues to ensure neighbourhoods are safe and clean.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering pest control treatments is essential.
• Hold a relevant qualification such as RSPH / BPCA Level 2 Qualification.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to be organised, work independently, and be part of a close working team.
